A General's Story
Every morning, Michael Levi wakes up, puts on his army uniform and marches out the door, a proper Lieutenant General. Only Levi is no soldier -- he's a flower delivery man. He also happens to be the only civilian in Israel allowed to wear an army officer's uniform, a right granted to him by an Israeli court.
Levi's story is one of both lost identity and the difficulties of living in a militaristic and power-driven society constantly under threat. Thrust into a complex absorption process as a Moroccan immigrant to Israel and traumatized by a terror attack in Israel, Levi has created an imaginary world to protect himself. Yet when his son's bar mitzvah approaches he becomes a sober, protective and loving father -- until another terror attack hits and pulls him back under.
