For last three decades, we created content for Israeli and international broadcasting companies, creating dozens of inspiring award-winning documentaries - short, mid-length, feature-length and doc-series. Our offices and studio, located in the heart of Tel Aviv, is a creative hub for visual-artists, researchers and storytellers, working on one of our next insightful soon-to-be-talked-about projects.
Meet the Team
Executive Director
DUKI DROR
Born in Tel Aviv and educated at UCLA and Columbia College in Chicago, Duki Dror is an internationally award-winning documentary filmmaker. His extensive body of work - his personal films, character-driven feature-docs, experimental docs, and unique biographies on artists, have won him international attention and success and are distributed worldwide. Dror founded Zygote Films in 2002.
Senior Producer
LIAT KAMAI ESHED
A senior producer with over 20 years of experience in TV production. In her resume as a producer, there are 9 TV series and 17 documentary films. Liat joined Zygote Films in 2014.
Writer and Script Editor
GALIA ENGELMAYER
A speech pathologist in the other job, Galia is splitting her professional time between helping children with communication disorders and writing and content editing at Zygote Films since 2007.
Her writing credits include Mendelsohn's Incessant Visions (2011), Shadow in Baghdad (2013) and Partner with the Enemy (2015).
Junior Director
Noam Sobovitz
Noam Sobovitz is a young-generation Israeli filmmaker. A graduate of Tel Aviv University film school, Noam was the editorial producer of a docu-series about the ultra-orthodox media in Israel “The Right Not to Know” for KAN 11. His film “Homecoming” for HOT won the best short film at Astra Film Festival.
Post Production Producer
ALI ADI
Ali Adi is a Cinema and economics graduate with a sheer passion for politics, history, and arts. Worked as an editor and content director in several Arabic productions including documentaries and music shows. Ali joined Zygote Films in 2019.
Content Development
ITAY LANDSBERG-NEVO
From 2003-2017, Itay Landsberg was the head of the documentary department and a commissioning editor at IBA Channel 1. During his work, he was responsible for hundreds of documentaries and dozens of docu-series. Among them, the Oscar-nominated film "The Gatekeepers". In 2006 Itay was awarded the most prestigious award for journalism in Israel.
Web & Game Platform Designer
Itai Dror
A fresh graduate of NB Haifa School of Design College, Itai is responsible for content development for the web and game platform. Looking at the expanding future of multi-platform era, our mission is to use our high-end documentary content production capabilities to be applied in web and gaming platforms.
Editorial Producer
Dana Wolfe
A broadcast journalist, documentary and live event producer, radio show and podcast creator. The founding executive producer of Intelligence Squared U.S., an award-winning live debate series. After over a decade as a producer for ABC News, Nightline with Ted Koppel, Wolfe worked as an independent media consultant for countless news divisions. Her work has been recognized with five Emmys, a DuPont-Columbia Award, and six consecutive radio awards. Joining Zygote in 2017, Wolfe was the editorial producer on Lebanon: Borders of Blood and senior editorial producer on The Cassandra Prophecy.
Doc-to-Fiction Development
David Toledano
Responsible for content development with focus on non-fiction IP for scripted adaptations in film & TV. Relocated to Israel from Los Angeles and was recruited to be head of international coproductions for The Globus Group. Since then, secured co-productions and distribution partners for feature films, docs and adaptations.
